Mary Blumberg

Realism, with a sense of the abstract, a major facet of Mary Blumberg’s paintings, is a result of many years’ study in a variety of creative art forms. A docent at the Museum of Art in Ft. Lauderdale, a successful interior design business owner, and becoming more facile in her chosen media, watercolor, are only a few of the accomplishments by this artist. Her paintings have appeared in juried shows in local, state and national exhibitions, including the FWS Special Exhibition for Watermedia, in Houston, Texas, the Art League All-Media Exhibitions in Alexandria, Virginia and the Southern Watercolor Society’s show in Alabama. Blumberg was selected to give a power point presentation at the Bienes Auditorium in Ft. Lauderdale during “Women in the Arts” month. Her talk was titled, “Wild Women and Watercolor.”

Mary is a member of the Southern, Baltimore, and Florida Watercolor societies as well as the Calvert Artists’ Guild. As president of the Calvert Artists’ Guild, Mary is active in her local arts community. She has paintings in CalvArt Gallery in Prince Frederick, MD and Heron’s Way Gallery in Leonardtown, MD. She is an elected artist member of the National League of American Pen Women. One may find her paintings in many private collections throughout the United States, including those custom-sized for private yachts.
